Revolution March Travel
Flights
Flying into DC isn't too bad. National Airport and Dulles are preferable. BWI is further away but there are shuttles that can get you to the DC Metro Transit system. Flying into BWI can save you some money if you are on a low budget.

The Ronvoy
A series of caravans are planned across the nation to travel to the march. This is an opportunity to spread the message to ordinary Americans across the land with your fellow activists. The Ronvoy organizers have found passenger vans and busses for incredibly good deals.

Staying in DC
Staying in downtown DC can be expensive, but you can find good deals in nearbye Virginia and Maryland. Rooms in Arlington are a very short cab ride, metro or even walk to the Capitol Mall. You can find other less-expensive motels close to metro stops. The best deals I've seen are package deals for airfare and hotel room on some of the travel websites such as SideStep.com.
Hotels with group rates
Thanks to Susan Wolf and the travel team here are some DC Area Hotel Group Block List with Rates.
Cheap sleep in DC
Thanks to Oyate, here's a list of less expensive to pretty cheap acomodations in and around DC. Some of these places have particular requirements for guests and these might or might not have vacancies. Let us know if any of these are booked full or otherwise inappropriate for us.
Camping around DC
Travel by Rail
Amtrak's train service can be a great way to travel up and down the Northeast. Check their website for schedule and rates. The trains come into Union Station right by the capitol building downtown. Oyate prefers traveling to DC by AMTRAK.
The DC Metro Rail System.
No matter how you get to DC or surrounding areas or even if you don't have a car, the DC metro system is great. You can choose a station with parking available and not have to deal with downtown parking. There is a metro station directly on the Capitol Mall where we'll be doing our thing. One thing to be aware of, the metro system doesn't run 24 hours. It closes at 10:00PM weeknights. Some stations are open until 3:00 AM on weekends.
