When people agree with each other, they like to get out in the world to show everyone else their strength and hopefully get them to join in. One of the most popular waays to do this is a march, sometimes known as a parade. If you've ever seen a march or parade move past your Brooklin homes, you know how much power they can contain. Sometimes even enough to start a revolution! Whether your kind of revolution is the overthrow of a government or the sharing of holiday joy, you can find more information about it here at Revolution March.

One of the most popular causes for a march is a celebration. Celebratory marches are held all over the world for holidays and special events, such as the St. Patrick's Day parades held in cities in Ireland and North America to commemorate one of the patron saints of Ireland or the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, which celebrates the city's history with football and flower arranging. Sometimes parades can be organized for grassroots holidays too, like the annual Zombie Walk you might have seen shambling past your High Park homes last summer.

Parades are also often held to show off a nation's military might. In fact, in Britain, a moving assembly of people is only called a parade if it is a military maneuver. Parades of ordinary people are known as processions. Military parades are done as a way to maintain training and discipline within the fighting force and to get everyone out of their Oshawa real estate to show support and pride in the force. These are often held in anniversary of a military victory, such as VE Day. In addition to soldiers, military parades also often feature tanks, planes, and other military vehicles.

And then of course, there are the parades in support of a cause, which are also often known as protest marches. Some causes that have annual marches associated with them are the Run for the Cure (which supports Breast Cancer Research) and the Gay Pride Parade (which promotes tolerance and acceptance). One-time marches have also been organized in support of intervention in repressed countries, human rights, political change, and building Surrey, BC condos where there was once a park, monument, slum, or site of historical interest. Emotions often run high in these protests, and they can sometimes result in riots or coups.

Are you thinking of organizing a parade, procession, or protest march? We can help. Revolution march has advice on how to plan a parade or march, choosing a cause, arranging for vehicle support, recruiting participants, getting people out to watch, and making sure the police don't send everyone back to their lofts.
